Zhenghe Silica Sol: High-Performance Refractory Material Binder
Positive silica sol aluminum sol
1. Nanoscale silica (SiO₂) particles, colloidal solution
2. Solid content: 15–55%; particle size controllable between 5 and 120 nanometers.
3. Large specific surface area, with nanoparticles enhancing density and strength.
4. Low impurity content, controllable metal ion levels, enhancing high-temperature strength and erosion resistance.
5. Good fluidity and adjustable viscosity, effectively improving construction flowability and working time.

01 Low impurities
The silica sol produced using high-purity technology features low impurity content, effectively reducing the formation of low-melting substances at high temperatures, ensuring a dense and stable microstructure, and thereby extending the service life of furnace linings and products.

Application in refractory material systems
01 Silica Sol-Bonded Castable
Description: Silica sol is mixed with refractory materials to form a pourable slurry.
Features: High purity, excellent flowability, outstanding thixotropy, high strength at medium and low temperatures, formation of a robust ceramic bond at high temperatures, as well as superior refractoriness and creep resistance.
Applications: ladle, tundish slag挡 walls, heating furnace roof, incinerator linings, and more.
02 Silica Sol-Bonded Spraying Material/Shotcrete Material
Description: Silica sol is either pre-mixed with the dry materials as a binder (wet process) or mixed with the dry materials through a spray gun nozzle (semi-dry process).
Features: High adhesion rate, low rebound rate, capable of quickly forming a dense coating on complex surfaces, and suitable for hot-state repairs.
Applications: Rapid repair of blast furnaces, hot-air stoves, cement rotary kilns, and metallurgical furnace kilns.
03 Silica Sol-Bonded Coating
Description: The binder is silica sol, and the matrix consists of powdered refractory aggregates. The mixture has a paste-like or slurry-like consistency and is applied manually or mechanically using a trowel.
Features: Easy to construct, suitable for thin-layer applications and irregular surfaces.
Uses: As a protective coating for refractory linings, or for filling gaps.
04 Silica Sol-Bonded Injection Molding Material
Description: Excellent fluidity and self-leveling properties, allowing it to be injected into molds or complex cavities under pressure.
Features: Capable of filling fine spaces to create a seamless, integrated structure.
Uses: Filling around taphole bricks in ladles and repairing cracks.
05 Fire-resistant fiber products
Description: Silica sol, acting as an inorganic binder, is combined with ceramic fibers and then formed and dried to produce the final product.
Features: Enhances strength, heat resistance, and corrosion resistance. After the organic binder has burned off, the silica sol continues to provide ceramic bonding at high temperatures, preventing fiber products from collapsing or losing their shape under high-temperature conditions.
Applications: High-performance refractory materials such as ceramic fiber boards and ceramic fiber modules.
